Seattle from Queen Anne Hill. For the entire week prior to 21 December 1997 it rained in Seattle.....yes, that is what we are known for. My plan was to be atop Queen Anne Hill at the appointed hour and hopefully get a small break in the rain, clouds, and wind at 11 AM PST. At 10:30 AM it stopped raining!!!! Then at the stroke of 11 AM, the clouds parted, and a very bright object appeared in the sky...yes, it was the sun. As you can see from my pano, when the sun comes out, people come out in Seattle. They are all looking directly at the sun, in ah... and wonder......what a wonderful thing...to share our environments and the world with others.
